1962:

Knudtson Building Maintenance was started by Ward Knudtson. He, together with his daughter, Grace, ran the company and cleaned many of the accounts himself. As the business grew, he ran the office and hired a small staff to clean his accounts.

1978:

Jaqueline Campbell, was a single parent, raising two small children and working part-time as a secretary for her neighbor’s cleaning company. A year later, Mr. Knudtson put his small business of only 55 clients up for sale. Seeing the tremendous opportunity to change her future, Jackie saved enough money and convinced him to allow her to purchase Knudtson Building Maintenance.

Today:

Knudtson Building Maintenance is still a family-owned business based in Sherman Oaks, CA, with both Heidi, Jackie’s daughter working in the office as well as Dayna, Jackie’s daughter-in-law focusing on Sales and Business Development.

Jackie is an active community member in Sherman Oaks, spending 4 years as an elected official of the Sherman Oaks Neighborhood Council and on the board for the Sherman Oaks Land Use & Development Committee. She also served on the Board of Directors of the Sherman Oaks Homeowners Association. She is most proud of leading the yearly Holiday Toy Drive for several years, providing thousands of gifts to underprivileged children and for the Department of Family Services.

Knudtson Building Maintenance is woman-owned and operated since 1979.
